Benavides Bucking Bulls LLC is ecstatic to announce their 3rd Annual Western States Bucking Bull Association (WSBBA) 2022 Gold Rush Bull Riding Challenge in Elko, NV, on September 10, 2022. As loyal WSBBA affiliates, Benavides Bucking Bulls has hosted two events in their hometown of Elko, NV. The WSBBA provides affordable events for stock contractors and bull-riders alike to compete.
Like the WSBBA, the American Bucking Bull Incorporated (ABBI) has paved the road for many athletes and animal athletes, including Benavides Bucking Bulls’ very own Elko-raised bucking bulls, Chainsaw and Triple X. Triple X made his debut Professional Bull Riders (PBR) appearance in January of 2022. Chainsaw made his debut PBR appearance in January of 2020. Both Chainsaw and Triple X were broadcasted on CBS Sports Network and dueled against world champion level bull rider athletes in Sacramento, CA this past January 2022.
Last year, the Gold Rush Challenge, much like the rest of the nation, faced the adversities and hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in true Nevadan Battle Born style, the 2020 and 2021 Gold Rush Challenges brought back very much-needed normalcy. The team, consisting of Efren Benavides, Sergio Silva, and Anthony Sandoval, have continued to create opportunities to support their hometown. The opportunities have varied from sponsoring local children’s sports teams, donating to scholarships, in-person practice opportunities for up and coming rodeo athletes, and vendor opportunities at their events.
The Benavides Bucking Bull’s Gold Rush Challenge, with the support of the WSBBA, provide opportunities for contractors, bull-riders, and bulls from California, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah to win authentic buckles, showcase their athleticism and talent. With much pride, their events have given aspiring cowboys and cowgirls of all ages the spotlight to strut their stuff in the all-time crowd favorite events such as mutton busting and bull riding.
This year, the Gold Rush Challenge will be focusing their efforts to support the reigning Miss Silver State Stampede Princess, Samantha Ann May Clark. Her relentless fight against the cancer ependymoma is a true inspiration to the Benavides Bucking Bulls team. It is their honor and privilege to support the Miss Silver State Stampede Princess.
